Aldi fans go wild for 'divine' new Jaffa Cakes that comes in two unique flavours

Send Push

While we all know the importance of healthy eating, every now and then we like to and treat ourselves – and people are running to to get their hands on one "divine" treat.

McVitie's Jaffa Cakes continue to be one of Britain's most beloved sweet treats thanks to their irresistible chocolate-orange flavour and soft texture. Of course, there are many alternatives on the market, with bringing out their own versions as well as stocking the original brand.

Recently, Aldi have introduced some unique flavoured Jaffa Cakes from Belmont Biscuits. But instead of the classic orange flavour, fans are rushing to buy cherry Bakewell or raspberry flavoured biscuits (or cake). A pack of 12 is just 99p and they are being sold in stores across the country.

The raspberry treats have a pink-coloured middle and classic milk chocolate top layer, while the cherry Bakewell flavour has a pink middle and white chocolate icing on top with stripes of milk chocolate.

Fans went wild after Aldi announced the news on their page earlier this week. But you will have to be quick if you want to get your hands on them; they are already sold out in some stores as fans have rushed to grab a box.

A spokesperson for Aldi said on Instagram: "Calling all sweet treat lovers. Your favourite biscuit (or cake) is now available in two fun new flavours – cherry Bakewell and raspberry. Which ones will you be picking up?"

"The cherry Bakewell ones sound amazing," commented one individual. One individual who has already tried the treats, said: "The cherry Bakewell ones are divine." "Cherry are delicious," agreed another.

"Need to try these, insisted another. "Getting some tomorrow hopefully," said another.

One other wrote: "I got mine today at Chapel store High Peak. Oh my! The Bakewell ones are amazing. I grabbed the last two boxes."

"Already sold out in Crewe," said another who has tried to get their hands on them. "Not in my store either," said one other.
