Aldi's 'fancy' £20 gadget makes hot drinks 'taste like Costa and Starbucks'

With the colder weather settling in, Brits will be enjoying more hot drinks as a way to warm up - or wake up. But, when basic coffee gets a little bland, Aldi has shoppers covered.

Returning to stores from October 6, Aldi’s Ambiano Milk Frother (priced at £19.99) is ideal for shoppers looking to get the perfect café latte from the comfort of their own home. Suitable for hot or cold frothing, this kitchen 'must-have' can heat milk up to 75 degrees Celsius, while the non-stick interior makes cleaning easy.

Coming in different colours, black, grey or cream, shoppers stand to save almost £60 compared to milk frothers from leading brands like Nespresso. Shoppers had better be quick though – as with all Specialbuys, once they’re gone they’re gone.

The milk frother comes to stores alongside other kitchen SpecialBuys. The full range can be seen in advance on Aldi's website or by collecting the usual preview leaflet in stores.

It will be in the middle aisle alongside items like air fryers, pans, storage containers and more. Items start from as little as £1.49. The milk gadget was a previous best seller for Aldi, with fans heaping praise on it the last time it hit shelves.

On social media, one said: "The milk frother is brilliant!" In a TikTok video, someone else added: "It's been a real game changer, I enjoy my morning coffee so much more now."

A third wrote: "Makes me feel really fancy having frothy milk! Can't complain about that price either!"

Some shoppers found another way to enjoy another hot drink using the frother. Several TikTok videos showcased people adding powdered hot chocolate to create an indulgent drink.

Lots of people did warn that using whole chocolate pieces from your favourite bars should be avoided as it may clog up the machine. However, mixing in with powder shouldn't pose an issue.

One said: "Wow! I hate coffee but never thought about using it for hot choc!" Another added: "That looks stunning!" A third commented: "Looking forward to some unreal hot choccies this winter!"

Someone else said: "I've done this so many times now. Hands down, it's feels like going Costa or Starbucks."

The Aldi SpecialBuys rotate every Thursday and Sunday. You can keep ahead of what's landing in the middle aisle every week by checking the Aldi website.
