subscribers are totally hooked on a new crime drama that dropped on the platform just yesterday.
, which is based on James Patterson’s novels about the well-known fictional Detective Alex Cross, is a twisty new series with plenty of action packed into its first season.
The fast-paced show created by Ben Watkins sees esteemed actor Aldis Hodge star as the titular character, who is both a detective and a forensic psychologist.
The show follows Alex as he attempts to track down a dangerous serial killer before he can carry out his sick rituals on unsuspecting victims.
He is also battling his inner demons as he manages being a father to two children while dealing with the tragic loss of his wife, whose killer is still at large.
Other cast members include Shadowhunters’ Isaiah Mustafa, New Amsterdam’s Ryan Eggold and Alona Tal of Supernatural and Veronica Mars fame.
Fans have already flocked to X, the platform formerly known as , to share their thoughts on the bingeable eight-part drama, which impressed Amazon bosses so much that it has already been renewed for a second season.
One viewer tweeted: “10/10 show!!! @PrimeVideo you live to take my money for another month #cross.” (sic)
A second admitted: “Did I binge all of #CrossOnPrime today? Yes, yes I did. And it was exactly what I wanted it to be. AKA extremely good. So glad Season 2 of the show is already in the works.” (sic)
