“Her performance with the cockroaches trying to get the keys to unleash the canoes. She was just brilliant. The fact that the rest of them were laughing at her, which is normally our job in the trial. But the fact everybody else was laughing at her while she was coming face to face with those cockroaches, was just amazing.”

They were particular fans of Melvin, in particular his choice of footwear on the beach

Ant said: “You just know you're going to have a laugh with it, even like Melvin walking up with his loafers and making fun of the fact the picked the worst outfit for a beach reunion. What was he thinking.” And then there was Oti Mabuse’s pitiful attempt at starting a fire.

Ant said: “Oti tried to start a fire with just real rocks….rocks like a cave man would try to start a fire. If Jane Moore hadn’t walked in, how long would they have been trying.”

Their verdicts come as was further mocked on the spin-off show I’m a Celebrity Unpacked - after also coming under fire on the main show.

Presenter Joel Dommett referred to the famous incident where Vardy’s agent “lost” her phone in the North Sea as part of her and ’s High Court action.

And he also suggested she was a “leak”.

He said of that night’s action: “We saw Coleen Rooney's boat sinking. It's not the first time she's had issues with a leak. Don't worry I won’t be spending the next three weeks just doing jokes about Wagatha Christie. Everyone relax. This show is all about the camp action that will be delving deeper than a certain agent’s phone in the North sea.”
