News that many Arsenal supporters have been crying out for in recent years could become a reality with the first murmurings that the Gunners want to improve accessibility to more supporters at home matches.
According to Bloomberg Business, Arsenal are looking into an expansion of their Emirates Stadium.
This would add an extra 33% of the current capacity to the ground. It would also see the club become the club with the largest capacity in the country and overtake Manchester United’s 74,876-seater Old Trafford ground.

The Gunners have dropped to the fifth biggest in the last few years as Tottenham Hotspur moved into their new 62,850-seated arena, West Ham moved into the 62,500-seater London Stadium and Anfield was expanded with a bigger stand to take the capacity to 60,725 – 21 more seats than the current Emirates Stadium capacity.
With the Gunners having re-established themselves as title challengers and the days of top-four chases being the main goal a thing of the past, the demand for seats has gone through the roof (if the stadium had one).
However, it has meant that many fans have been left finding it even tougher than before to go to games.
With 3pm kick-offs still not televised in the United Kingdom, many fans are left unable to watch the games, limited to listening on the radio or catching updates on different platforms. It is worth pointing out here football.london produce match commentary for every game so you never miss a thing!
Despite this, the increased capacity is sure to make a sizeable dent in that demand for seats. The issue is that the demand continues to be to such a degree that the Gunners expanding even to this size would not solve it.
Although, the increased matchday revenue would be of significant benefit to the club, with hope it could be reinvested into the squad after the stadium is paid off. Some fans will be concerned that it could limit spending in the market but the long-term benefits are sure to outweigh any short-term drawbacks.
It should be said however any expansion is quite some way away from happening. With these only suggestions for the present day.
