BBC Strictly Come Dancing star sparks backlash over two-word comment to Sarah Hadland

Send Push

Strictly Come Dancing fans were left fuming at their TV sets on Saturday night following judge Craig Revel-Horwood's comments made towards Sarah Hadland and her dance partner Vito Coppola.

This week, the contestants headed over to the iconic ballroom capital of Blackpool. Showcasing their dance moves, Sarah's couple choice routine to Pad Dam and Can't Get You Out of My Head by Kylie Minouge left jaws wide open as her energetic jiggle caused her to gain positive reaction from the studio audience and viewers at home.

But Craig wasn't too sure and described the dance as being "a bit too perfect". This left fans confused and raging.

As the studio audience roared in disbelief at his two word complaint, Craig added: "I know it sounds , I know it sounds weird! But it just lacked an attitude in those still moments that brought you out of the crowd. However spactacular, darling!"

Annoyed by his comments, fans headed over to X. One viewer said: "'It was a bit TOO perfect' - oh shut the hell up Craig, no pleasing him. He constantly bitches about imperfections and then complains because there aren't any. Being a t**t for the sake of it.

Another perplexed fan chimed: "Craig huh??? What the hell 'the dance is TOO perfect' means? Huh?"

A third confused fan shared: "TOO PERFECT?? Literally just give it a 10 it was so good … that’s what couples choice should be!!"

Meanehile another fumed: "Craig saying Sarah was too perfect is a load of rubbish. He’s waiting to give his 10 to one specific person and he’s making stuff up to make sure it happens that way."

But despite Craig's comments, he decided to score Sarah and Vito a nine out of a possible ten marks. However, this didn't stop Sarah's winning streak as the three other judges gave Sarah tens, giving her a total score of 39 out of 40.

Sarah, 53, is a natural on the floor and has been riding high in the compeition this year but some fans have often pointed out her previous dance experience. The actress told the : "I trained in dance from the age of three and then I left home at the age of 16 to go to a musical theatre college."
