Sarah paid another tribute through her performance to the most important person in her life when she danced the Foxtrot to Billie Eilish's Birds of a Feather. The song has an important place in her heart because she sings it with her daughter. The Miranda star doesn’t usually talk about her child and has been careful to keep her out of the spotlight, never revealing any details about her or showing her face. However in a VT before the live show she explained she wanted to show how she feels about the "little one" through the routine.

Sitting in the rehearsal studio Sarah told Vito why she had chosen the beautiful track to accompany the dance. She was overcome with emotion as she showed the camera and Vito a collage of two painted birds with feathers stuck on and a heart in the middle of them that she had made with her child. "It's about my family and me and my little one," she said as she welled up with tears whilst laughing at herself for doing so.

Vito reassured her it was ok to get upset as she added: "This song is special to us because we sing it together. It would be really lovely to show how I feel in the dance." She certainly pulled it off, with judge saying she could "definitely feel the emotion" and Anton Du Beke remarking that she dances "beautifully".

In another rare insight into her life as a mum, Sarah revealed how she is managing to fulfill her duties at home with the extreme Strictly training schedule. Talking at the Daily ’s Pride of Britain Awards she told : "It's quite a juggle but you manage to do it like all working mums. I think you just have to put your 'mum hat' on and your 'work hat' on and I feel so lucky to be doing this show."
