Saturday Kitchen Live viewers were smitten with guest star Idris Elba on the show's latest instalment. The award-winning actor, best known for his role in BBC's Luther, graced the kitchen alongside host Matt Tebbutt on November 9.
Alongside other guests such as Helen McGinn, Alexina Anatole, Carmen O'Neal, Marcus Wareing, and Amanda Ross, Elba, aged 52, divulged his 'food heaven' of apple crumble with ice cream and his 'food hell' of marmite, kale and tofu.
The actor's controversial culinary picks stirred some debate on the panel, but it was Elba's charm that truly captured the audience's attention, reports .
One fan swooned on : "Oh My Goodness Idris Elba, yum lol." (sic)
Another posted a drool-worthy comparison, presenting Elba alongside a classic apple crumble captioned: "Idris Elba and apple crumble with custard. Am I fantasising?"

Fans were quick to gush over the actor's charming presence, with one tweeting: "Why is @idriselba the coolest nicest guy ever on the planet." (sic)
Later in the show, Idris Elba teamed up with O'Neal for a lesson in crafting brandy cocktails. Not new to the drinks industry, Elba owns Porte Noire, a swanky restaurant and wine bar in London.
Following his recent stint in Apple TV's thriller 'Hijack' this 2023, Elba is now working on a hard-hitting documentary focused on knife crime, which is expected to air in 2025.
Saturday Kitchen Live will return to BBC1 on November 16 at 10am.
