Big Brother hosts Will Best and AJ Odudu have plunged the show into chaos after both being hit by illness.

Both of the show presenters are suffering from their own individual ailments ahead of the launch show on Sunday October 6. Will has confessed that AJ has "lost her voice" while he is suffering with a "stiff neck" as the pair battle to be healthy in time for their second season fronting the iconic reality TV offering on ITV2.

Will admitted he has been undergoing emergency physio for his neck after feeling “nervous” about his ability to do the show justice ahead of the launch. He said: “It’s always good to just before the biggest show of the year, when you’re going to be live for six weeks, with all kinds of mad stuff, to not be able to move.”

Speaking to Capital Breakfast hosts Jordan North, Chris Stark and Sian Welby Will further opened up about his predicament. Jordan asked him to elaborate further on his neck as he probed "So yeah you’ve got a sore neck you were saying?"

Will responded: "I have yeah, I’ve got a stiff neck. It’s a bit better today, yesterday was bad, I’ve got an emergency physio in a couple of hours after this. It’s always good to just before the biggest show of the year, when you’re going to be live for six weeks, with all kinds of mad stuff, to not be able to move. So I’m sorry Chris I can’t really look at you [laughs], you’re on the wrong side!"

Sian then joked: "That’s why we got you a spinny chair, so you can move your whole body," as Will quipped: "I can just present the live show on one of these!"

Jordan then pointed out that AJ is also in a predicament saying "AJ’s lost her voice as well..." Will clarified "AJ’s lost her voice as well, yeah sorry, I saw her yesterday, we did a podcast record. That’s why she’s not doing radio today!"

The presenter then candidly spoke about his nerves ahead of the live show as he admitted his excitement for another series of Big Brother. He said: " Yeah of course I get nervous, because, I love this show so much, so I’m nervous that we’re going to do it justice, the format justice, I’m nervous how the housemates will do, but once we get to Sunday, just before we go live, the nerves sort of disappear. I can’t wait to meet these people."

Listen to Capital Breakfast with Jordan North, Chris and Sian weekdays from 6am – 10am across the UK and on Global Player.
