Big Brother fans fume nominations are 'ruined' after ITV show introduces new rule

Big Brother was packed with more drama on Wednesday night as the housemates made their latest round of nominations with a shock twist.

Yet fans watching at home claimed that the process has been 'ruined' following a new rule introduced in the series.

This series has seen Big Brother introduce a Head of House each week with them given special powers to influence actions within the house.

While they mostly got rewarded with special treats, they would regularly be allowed to significantly change the results of nominations.

Housemates Khaled, Ali, Dean and Emma have all held the title so far with some of their decisions causing disruption and arguments in the house.

The final with the title was revealed to be Marcello, who ended up making a shocking decision to completely change the result of nominations.

This week, housemates only needed to receive two nominations to be in line for a double eviction at the end of the week.

Originally Thomas was in line to be booted from the house but Marcello chose to save him and placed Baked Potato, who received no nominations in the firing line.

Fans have shared that they have become fed up with the Head of House rule and feel it 'ruined nominations'.

One posted on social media: "I never want Big Brother to do this head of house again btw, it has completely ruined nominations all series." (sic)

Another agreed: "What’s the point of nominating when they don’t count for anything. This head of house thing makes the entire experiment pointless. It takes the fun out of it. This series has been quite flat and not really memorable compared to last years." (sic)

While one viewer said: "I hope this head of house twist doesn’t come back every series. Feels a lot." (sic)

Lily, Emma, Ali, Khaled and Baked Potato are the latest housemates to be nominated, with their fates hanging in the balance in the hands and left up to the public.

Eviction votes will open soon and are exclusive to the app, as viewers get to decide who gets the boot from the popular reality show.

Things will ramp up on Friday night with the show's latest exits, while presenters and scoop the fresh reactions during the companion show immediately afterwards.

Big Brother continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
