Gardaí are currently at the scene of a major incident at Dublin Airport, which has sparked traffic chaos in the area. An Garda Síochána took to social media shortly after 1pm on Sunday to alert the public about the situation.
They have warned motorists to expect significant delays due to the ongoing event. "Traffic Update Dublin: Gardaí at Dublin Airport are currently at scene of an ongoing incident and wish to advise that traffic in the area is affected," their statement said.
"Motorists are advised to expect delays in the area."
However in an unusual turn of events, it seems that the post on X has now been deleted. It is still as of yet unknown why.
As of now, there's no word from Dublin Airport regarding the specifics of the incident. Both An Garda Síochána and the daa (Dublin Airport Authority) have been approached for further details, reports .
