British tourist dies at beach resort in Cyprus after being pulled from sea

A British tourist has died after being “pulled from the water” at a location in.

The 62-year-old man was swimming by a beach in , on the west of the island when he disappeared from sight. He was then brought ashore by other bathers and emergency services rushed to the scene to give him first aid, according to local reports.

But sadly despite the best efforts of paramedics they were unable to save him. The man was taken to Paphos General Hospital where a doctor on duty certified him as dead. Further details about the man are yet to emerge and whether he was with friends or family or if he was on his own at the.
