Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo has previously hinted that he may be open to joining a club amid links surrounding his future.

Mbeumo has been enjoying some of his best form since signing for the Bees from Troyes in 2019. The 25-year-old has scored six goals across seven Premier League fixtures so far this season, which leaves him behind only Erling Haaland of (10) and level with fellow runner-up of (six).

Reports back in September from claimed that were interested in signing Mbeumo, who is thought to be valued at £50million. Liverpool and Newcastle are also reported to be in the running, but it seems that may be a potential destination based on a video clip that has surfaced.

A video has which shows Mbeumo after Brentford's pre-season friendly against AFC Wimbledon back in July.

The clip shows Mbeumo greeting fans as he eventually walks down the tunnel to the dressing room. Fans in the background could be heard saying, "Come to Tottenham," to the Brentford star.

Mbeumo could then be heard replying, "maybe," with a wry smile on his face as he walked down the tunnel.

Ivan Toney's departure for Saudi Arabia in the summer transfer window has increased the importance of Mbeumo to the Brentford squad, something that Bees manager Thomas Frank is fully aware of.

"He was the biggest miss last year, even when we had Ivan [Toney] out [injured]. We missed our key player," Frank told in September.

"He's added another layer this year. Five goals in six is incredible, plus he's still creating chances and opportunities. He's working so hard for the team.

"For me, he's a top player. I'm convinced one day he will play for a bigger club; I will definitely buy him if I was at a bigger club.

"He's very happy here. Maybe some players need to leave us one day, but a lot of the players here are very happy because we have a top environment with good people, staff and players."
