There was chaos on The One Show tonight (September 30) as hosts Alex Jones and Roman Kemp struggled to keep on-topic, with Kemp forced to shut down an unusual line of questioning towards Camila Cabello.
Cabello, appearing on the sofa alongside comedian Al Murray, was there to plug her upcoming album 'C, XOXO. ' Yet, it was her affinity for British pubs that took centre stage as co-host Alex Jones initiated the chat with: "Do you like a pub, this is what we hear?"
Cabello responded enthusiastically with, "I do, I love an English roast. I love a pub," later revealing after further probing that her roast preference is chicken over beef.
This prompted co-host Roman Kemp to chime in his preference for "lots of stuffing" when tucking into a chicken dish. However, the interview continued to veer off-course, leading Kemp to swiftly attempt to steer back to discussing Cabello's tunes saying, "You're looking nervous," and suggesting, "Well look... let's get back to the brand new music."

The effort was momentarily thwarted as Murray engaged the pop star about wine preferences. Eventually, Kemp regained control of the interview, cutting it off and starting again.
He declared: "Ok, let's try and do this again. Back to the music," amidst studio laughter, reports Wales Online.
Despite the interview veering off track, it was still a significant step up for Cabello compared to her previous appearance on The One Show. In March 2022, the singer experienced an unfortunate wardrobe mishap live on air, inadvertently revealing her bare chest to viewers as she geared up to dance via video link, all before the watershed.
The awkward incident led fellow guest, comedian Alan Carr, to cover his mouth in surprise while Alex Jones offered an apology to viewers at the conclusion of the programme. "Sorry again for Camilla's wardrobe malfunction, bless her it happens to the best of us," she expressed.
