Poland took on Portugal in Warsaw on Saturday evening, but it was the visitors, with Ronaldo captaining Roberto Martinez's men, who ran out on top. The 39-year-old was on target, doubling the lead after Bernardo Silva opened the scoring in a 3-1 verdict.

Piotr Zielinski halved the deficit but an own-goal from Southampton defender Jan Bednarek then completed the scoring for Portugal. Spanish outlet El Chiringuito captured a moment following the game between Szczesny and the former United and Real Madrid hero - who played together at Juventus - where Ronaldo couldn't stop himself from taking aim at some of his old clubs.

While the Portugal star was signing autographs, the goalkeeper said: "I play for Barcelona now, but he [his son] is one of your fans. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone anything."

Five-time Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldo laughed off the suggestion as he replied: "All good [laughs], are you happy? Unbelievable... You retired and go to a big club!"
