  • More , including Spider-Woman, Sally and the Pumpkin King from A Nightmare Before Christmas and more

  • A new Fortnite pass, featuring a new skin

  • Six new landmarks and updates across the game’s map

  • A new mythic weapon called Boom Billy

  • The return of the Horde Rush LTM

  • New leaks for the next live event and Fortnite OG Season 2

Fortnite has become a little quiet when it comes to releasing actual full patch notes (Epic Games, if you’re reading, please help us out here), but if we want to see what we can expect to come to the game in any given update, we only have to look so far as the . This site is the public home of the bugs, glitches, and issues that Epic is focussing on in the Fortnite platform, and any article labelled as “fixed in next game update” will be touching down in the next patch.

With this in mind, here’s every issue we can expect to be resolved in the game in update 31.40:

Battle Royale
  • The setting ‘Lock Input Method as Mouse’ is not working correctly – The Lock Mouse input may not function as intended

  • Back Bling Beacon Glass displaying incorrectly in the Locker – When players are choosing the Back Bling Beacon Glass from their Locker, the shards of the Back Bling are falling off

Lego Fortnite
  • Player 2 cannot upgrade the LEGO Fortnite Pass reward track in split-screen mode – When trying to upgrade the LEGO Fortnite Pass reward track in split-screen mode, the “UPGRADE” button may not function as intended for Player 2 (Temporary Workaround: Player 2 should be able to upgrade the reward track while in a World, or right after exiting one)

Rocket Racing
  • Ball-R wheel is displaying incorrect edit styles

  • Error when equipping the Beast Mode Boost – A “profile does not own variant” error may appear when players try to equip the Beast Mode Boost

Fortnite Festival
  • Band members may be lacking animations – At times, character or band member models might have stilted and inert animations on Main Stage

  • Degraded audio quality when using Jam Tracks as Lobby Tracks – We’re investigating reports of noticeably lower audio quality when using certain Jam Tracks as Lobby Tracks and will provide an update as soon as we have a confirmed fix

Save the World
  • Map camera movement may be restricted after cancelling the mission queue – If players cancel the queue before the mission launch screen, they may not be able to click and drag the Map around (Temporary Workaround: Selecting another screen, then going back to the Map should help with regaining full control)

  • Storm King’s health bar does not appear in the final phase – After breaking Storm King’s horns, the final phase health bar doesn’t appear on top of the screen

Can’t select Shadowshard weapon evolution path with controller – Players might be having difficulties changing a weapon’s evolution path from Obsidian to Shadowshard when using a controller. This is largely resolved, full fix is slated for the next game update (Temporary Workaround: Mouse users can mouseover and click on the desired option)

It's a lot to be prepared for, and if we're lucky, downtime won't suffer too much under the weight of these huge additions. We'll see you on the island when the mist descends and everyone's feeling that autumnal chill.
