Emmerdale Tom King death 'sealed' as Jimmy and Amelia finally 'see true colours'

Send Push

's Tom King may have finally shown his true colours to everyone in the village, amid his looming downfall.

But could a shocking murder twist be on the way? Was a whodunnit teased in fiery scenes on Tuesday night, as the village gathered for a bonfire?

Tom was left raging amid his plan to evade justice for his abuse towards Belle Dingle. He managed to convince new flame Amelia Spencer and his uncle Jimmy King he is innocent of the accusations, and that Belle made the claims up amid her mental health spiralling.

Several residents including Tom's aunt Nicola King and all the Dingles know what Tom has done, believing Belle. But with no real evidence and Tom continuing to frame himself as the victim, he's yet to be exposed.

He may have made matters worse on Tuesday though, just a day on from fans finding out he'd orchestrated his attack as well as damaging his own car, keen to set up one of the Dingles. But they got their own back on Tuesday, by dressing a 'Guy' for the bonfire so it looked like Tom before letting it burn in front of him.

While the Dingles were in hysterics, the villagers watching on were left awkward including Tom's family. Tom was raging, screaming at the family and demanding to know who did it.

As each Dingle member took it in turns to step forward and claim responsibility, it was clear they were very much teaming up against Tom. Tom vowed it wasn't over and that they were "sick", before storming off.

It's then that he lashed out at Amelia in front of everyone, with Jimmy appearing to look concerned. Amelia fled the scene in tears as Tom called her pathetic and blamed her for everything, using his manipulation tactics too.

But is this the moment where Amelia and Jimmy both finally realise what Tom has done and who he is? Some fans are sure this is the case, with one writing: "Oooh has Jimmy just seen another side to Tom," as another added: "Amelia has."

Asides this, could the fiery scene be a clue that one of the Dingles or someone else might kill Tom? Might the fire scene be a flashforward to a murder twist or even a whodunnit?

One fan predicted: "Maybe they'll do a & someone'll bump him off & we'll spend until Xmas guessing whodunnit!" Another said: "I see a whodunnit coming soon."

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays. * Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on , , , , , and .
