England have confirmed Bukayo Saka has returned to Arsenal after going off with an injury in the Nations League defeat to Greece on Thursday.
Just before the hour mark, the 23-year-old was captured hobbling and holding the back of his right leg as he left the pitch. Before the Three Lions' next clash against Finland, a statement has confirmed that both Saka and Liverpool's Curtis Jones have left camp.
" and will not travel to Finland," a read. "Saka has returned to Arsenal for further assessment having been substituted during the second-half of Liverpool’s Jones remains in England owing to a personal commitment."
The Gunners' return to Premier League action comes next Saturday against Bournemouth with Saka as a major doubt for the trip to Vitality Stadium.
Martin Odegaard, Ben White and Jurrien Timber are among those already absent because of muscular issues with the trio spending the international break rehabbing from their respective issues. Kai Havertz and Thomas Partey have also remained in north London due to minor injury concerns.
The latter duo are expected to be fit and available for Arsenal's return, though there is now understandable concern surrounding Saka. Having recently captained the side, in the absence of Odegaard, if the worst is confirmed, Arteta will not only lose his attacking talisman but also a new leader in the group.

However, Arsenal have got the job done before in big games without Saka and it could now present huge opportunities for the likes of Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus to prove their worth. Ethan Nwaneri could also be set for more game time with the 17-year-old already impressing this season.
