Trump was seen doing the dance regularly during the election campaign, and Pulisic has become the latest in a long line of American athletes to copy it.
Speaking after the match, said: "I saw everyone doing it yesterday in the NFL, I saw Jon Jones do it, and we were just having a bit of fun. I thought it was a pretty fun dance.
"Obviously, that's the 'Trump Dance' but it was just a dance that everyone was doing. He's the one who created it, and I thought it was funny.
"It's not a political dance. It was just for fun. I saw a bunch of people do it and thought it was funny, so I enjoyed it."
Pulisic spent four years at Chelsea, scoring 20 goals in 98 games, never managing to become a regular in a turbulent time for the west London club. He completed a permanent move to Milan in the summer of 2023.
