Lorna White reveals to her go-to microwave cleaning hack that works every time and ‘naturally’ cleans her microwave without the need for chemicals. She explains: “If your microwave is in need of a deep clean after one too many food explosions, don't panic - it can be cleaned for free in just a jiffy.”

Lorna explains that to clean a microwave all you need is a cup of water and half a lemon. She said: “Just pop a heat-proof cup of water with half a lemon and its juice in the microwave on a high setting for a minute or two.”
Then, once the microwave has turned off, she adds that it’s important to: “Leave the mixture in the microwave with the door closed for 5 minutes for the steam to do its work, then easily wipe down the inside of your microwave.” She explains that not only will your microwave be spotless afterwards, but that the lemon and water steam will also ‘leave your kitchen smelling fresh and clean.”
