Glastonbury fans 'almost choke' at 2025 ticket prices as coach packages sell out in minutes

Music lovers have slammed the price of next year's tickets as they brand it "ridiculous".

Thousands of fans from across the will descend on Worthy Farm, Somerset next summer as the iconic event returns. It will be the final year before festival organisers decided to take a break in 2026. with fans needing to have registered for the .

Registration for the ballot closed at 5pm on Monday and those lucky to have been selected can start purchasing their tickets from 6pm today. The first batch of sales was for coach and ticket packages only for those planning to arrive at the site by coach. Coach packages

"The Glastonbury 2025 tickets + coach travel which were on sale this evening have now all been sold," announced the official Glastonbury X account this evening. Fans have another chance at securing tickets at 9am on Sunday as general admission goes on sale.

Despite the lineup not yet announced, it hasn't stopped droves of music lovers trying their best to bag their spot at the festival from June 25 to 29 next year. Amid the flurry of trying to get tickets, many fans were left stunned at the prices. Those successful this evening had to shell out a hefty £378.50, with a £75 deposit (plus coach fare) due today and the balance payable by April 2025.

Fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the pricing as one said: "Just saw the new price for Glastonbury tickets and almost choked." Another added: "2022 tickets were £280. This is getting ridiculous." Someone else commented: “I expect some legendary performances for the price we’re expected to pay!"

No acts have been announced just yet but this year Dua Lipa, Coldplay and headlined the iconic Pyramid Stage. Changes have been implemented in how people can purchase their Glastonbury tickets this year. Usually fans have to sit refreshing the landing page until they got an opportunity to buy, but this year festival bosses confirmed there is a new booking system which will see fans placed in a virtual queue to wait their turn for a booking window.

Some festival-goers were unimpressed with the new system already as they saw their spot in the electronic queue. One fumed: "Peak British - everyone who is trying to get Glastonbury tickets sharing that they are also stuck on two green bars." Another posted: "It's the (green bars of) hope that kills you." Meanwhile, a third quipped: "Hello everyone, I'd like to announce the first Glastonbury headliner: Two Green Bars." While someone else fumed: "This is a joke."
