It's been a bumper week for anyone wanting a new Echo speaker. Online recently confirmed a deal that is offering Amazon shoppers (saving over £70) and now there's another surprise discount ahead of the official sales. As long as you know a hidden code - and act fast - you can currently bag two Echo Pop devices for less than the price of one.
That basically means you are getting one of these smart Alexa-powered devices for free. So how does the deal work, how much will it cost and when does it end?
To claim, all you have to do is head to Amazon's website and add two Echo Pop speakers to your online shopping basket. They usually cost £44.99 each but if you then add the hidden ECHOPOP code at the checkout the total price for the duo of devices will be reduced to just £35.98 (not including delivery).
It's a very good deal but Amazon has confirmed that it will end at 5pm on November 20th so you only have a limited time to take advantage.
What is the Echo Pop?
The Echo Pop is a relative newcomer to Amazon's line-up of smart devices with it launching last May. This device, which comes in a number of colours including Lavender Bloom, features a custom-designed front-facing directional speaker which booms about room-filling audio. It's powered by Alexa so you can ask it to set timers, read out the news, turn on lights and tell you if it's going to rain again today via simple voice commands.
It can even read audiobooks to you and tell you when your next Amazon parcel will arrive.
Another bonus of this device is its ability to help boost your Wi-Fi. As long as you have an Eero router in your home, the Echo Pop can link up to these Wi-Fi devices and act as a mini extender.
"Echo Pop is powered by the Amazon AZ2 Neural Edge processor and comes with eero Built-in, which enables the device to add up to 1,000 square feet of coverage to an existing eero wifi network, packing even more value into its compact size," Amazon explained during its big reveal last year.
Of course, it's not just Amazon that is dishing out early Black Friday deals. , Sky is offering and Virgin Media has broadband for free.
Black Friday officially starts on November 29 and Mirror Online will be bringing you all the deals live in the build up to this major shopping showcase.
