Tulisa Contostavlos says posing in the shower would be a "little cringy" and she won't be playing up to the cameras in there during the new series.
The singer and former X factor judge is one of the big names stars heading into camp this weekend. Asked about the jungle shower where word a white bikini in 2006, Tulisa said: "I think because on a show like this, if you're standing in the shower, everyone's very aware that they're being watched.
"So it's like, if you overdo it, it just feels mad cringy to me. I don't feel like Myleene, years ago, had that in mind. She just in the shower in a white bikini. She didn't know she was going to start this whole big wow. Do you know what I mean? Now it is has become a thing. If I went in there, dressed in red, giving it something, everyone's gonna be like 'Oh, come on, we know what you're doing'.
"So it just feels a little bit cringy to me. Listen, I'm springing straight black bikinis. I'm just gonna chill out. There'll be no hip swivels for me. I can just get up with a shower and get out." Tulisa comments follow on from executive producer Olly Nash admitting the shower is not longer a key feature of the show.
Olly said the shower and how to wash in there was a subject that has been discussed a lot with celebrities this year. He explained: "The last person that used to shower regularly naked in the nude was Brian Paddock. I can't even remember what year that was, but he would stand there facing outwards, and it was quite a confronting sight.
"The only other person really in the last few years has been , who just carried on anyway, but obviously he faced the wall. It's funny, they[celebs] have all asked about that this year, but most people just cover themselves up. And it's absolutely changed. I think the whole has changed, hasn't it? A lot over the years, and people are less likely to get in there and want to flaunt themselves.
"They ask can you shower nude, do people shower nude. And you go, you're absolutely welcome. Obviously, you need to be respectful of everybody around you. But the choice is yours. Most people don't. Most people wear swimmers. Most people face the wall anyway."
At 36, Tulisa showed off her amazing fitness in her official jungle pic which displayed her admirable abs. But her love of the gym in part could have cancelled her jungle trip in 2024 as she had more bad luck and needed a double hernia operation earlier this year.
She said: "I've got a personal trainer called Jess, and she does a lot of, like, weight lifting and muscle building with me, mixed with like, core strength and cardio. I've also been training a great facility. It's called UBX, and it basically focuses on, like, intense fitness circuits combined with .
"So you're doing like 12 different rounds of exercising, and in between that, you're on the pad, smashing out the pads, and then some of the exercising, incorporates boxing. So just overall, general fitness. And I also do my yoga, my Tibetan rights every day as well. So there's been a lot of training, but I've had a lot of catching up to do because I had a double hernia op in around it was like July or August.
"I basically just made the time frame to be able to start training. I had two months before I go in the jungle to try and get back in shape, because I've been out for nine months, I was advised, like, you can't train with that hernia. without herding her. But I just managed to get the operation done and then start again."
