Send Push

NCIS Origins is here, and fans are curious to know more about its cast, including Special Agent Benjamin “Randy” Randolph star Caleb Foote.

The CBS prequel has been a long time coming, with fans of the mothership eager to find out what the new NCIS police procedural would shed light on in regards to Agent Gibbs’ (played by Mark Harmon) past.

In the 1991-set series, a young Gibbs (Austin Stowell) joins NCIS as a new agent and is soon met by Agent Randy (Caleb Foote) who is described as the agency’s “all too lovable golden boy”.

Randy, who is a father to young twins, is on hand to show Gibbs the ropes and now viewers are interested to know all there is about the man who portrays him.

Early Career

Special Agent Randy is portrayed by actor Caleb Foote, who has only had onscreen roles since 2017 but has previously done theatre work.

One of these was in Hand To God, which won him the San Diego Theatre Critics Circle 2017 Craig Noel Award for Outstanding Male Performance.

In the same year, he had a background role in Grey’s Anatomy before playing Pus Bucket in American Horror Story season seven and Eli in American Crime Story season two.

His first major role was as Eddie Cleary in the ABC series The Kids Are Alright.

In 2021, Foote joined the cast of Max’s Made For Love as Bennett Hobbes, alongside actress Cristin Milioti, best known for playing Tracy in How I Met Your Mother.

Love Life

Few details are known about Foote’s private life away from the cameras, but he is known to be in a relationship.

Last month, he shared an adorable series of pictures on of him and his girlfriend Reagan Jobie going on a fishing trip together with the caption: “Catch and release.”

Her Instagram account is private, but her bio reveals that she is a therapist who resides in Salt Lake County.

Other details, including how they met and how long they have been together, are not known.

While Gibbs and Agent Mike Franks are already established characters, Randy is new to the NCIS universe, and Foote opened up to TV Insider about the joys of creating him for the show.

He said: “I have a wonderful opportunity to create a new character.

“Our entire team has been so helpful in that everything from my character’s wedding ring.

“They let me pick the wedding ring to the watch that I wear, and I have input in the costume and my pistol holster, and this scuff mark on it and the story behind that, and so it’s just been…so cool to create this character that doesn’t exist.”

NCIS Origins continues every Monday on CBS.
