One user stated fiercely: "Right, get Nathan and Marcello out next so I don't feel gross every time they appear on screen."

While another forecasted: "So Marcello Nathan Thomas the next to go."

A jubilant viewer declared: "We did it ! ! ! ! And at the same time we broke the first evictee curse. Bye Ryan."

Earlier on, disappointment struck the housemates as they discovered they hadn't passed their first shopping mission during the Coco Eye Land Resort.

With a staggering 51 failures amongst them, including Marcello nicking watermelon, Sarah's discourteous comments to guests, and Lily getting too cozy during brunch, their failure came as little shock.

But before they could dwell on the past, Big Brother set them off on another task, urging them to uncover hidden connections within their ranks.

This sparked a bit of controversy, with one individual being a Trump supporter and Nathan asserting that protestors should be incarcerated for causing traffic disruptions.

Audiences also responded to the smoking area of the house being revealed during the episode for the first time.

ITV explained that it was to accurately depict a situation between Marcello and Ali. While some viewers described it as an 'uncomfortable watch', they expressed hope that this feature would become a permanent fixture.

Big Brother continues Sunday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX followed by Late and Live at 10pm.
