ITV Coronation Street Cassie's sick real plan for Ken Barlow revealed as icon in danger

Ken Barlow could be in serious danger and facing harm on thanks to scheming Cassie Plummer.

The character appeared to expose her real intentions for the soap legend on Monday night, with her not taking being sacked as his carer very well. Cassie has been Ken's carer for months now, much to the angst of his family.

With her willingly splashing his cash, enjoying free holidays and the rest, she's left his loved ones concerned she's using him for the money. But in the latest episode Ken decided for the sake of his finances it was time to let Cassie go.

After a luxury trip away together, Ken broke the news to Cassie that her services were no longer needed. Cassie put on a brave face but it was clear she was furious, and it seems she soon sprung into action.

Suggesting there were no hard feelings, she headed round to Ken's for tea and biscuits. As she commented on her search for a new job now that Ken didn't need her, she was seen crushing some pills before putting them in Ken's tea.

Heading over she handed him the cup and watched him drink from it, before she also gave him his medication. Ken took the tablet unaware of what Cassie had seemingly done.

For months fans have long suspected Cassie is up to no good and is trying to get her hands on Ken's savings. So with him dropping her as his carer, is she taking revenge?

Might she be trying to harm Ken, and has her real plan to get her hands on his cash been rumbled? Or might she be trying to make him unwell so that he reconsiders sacking her?

Ken clearly needs to watch out, as Cassie is possibly out to get him, but will her plan work? It seems not, as Ken is rushed to hospital later this week following him taking a turn for the worse.

According to spoilers for the rest of the week, on Wednesday his daughter Tracy Barlow returns. But as she vows to look after her dad she's left worried when Ken admits he isn't feeling too well, most likely due to Cassie's meddling.

Tracy panics and takes her dad to the hospital, but will he be okay and what will be revealed by the doctors? Perhaps Cassie will be found out as by the end of the week, Steve McDonald makes it clear to Cassie that she's sacked for good.
