Jake Paul's mum has labelled Mike Tyson a "f***ing little b****" and vowed to kill him after he slapped his opponent.
The two men, who will square off on Friday night in Dallas, came face-to-face in the lead up to the bout with the ex-heavyweight champion taking the chance to land a blow on Paul - who is more than 30 years his junior.
As soon as Tyson struck Paul in the face the two men had to be held back by security. However the 27-year-old's mum, Pam Stepnick, was left fuming by the antics and vowed to take on the veteran as she hugged her son.
She said: "I'm going to kill for you," while squeezing her son tight in a hug.
After the slap Tyson was held back and exited the stage with the YouTuber-turned-boxer having the final word. Paul said: "I didn't even feel it. He's angry. He's an angry little elf. He then added: "Mike Tyson, I thought that was a cute slap."
Speaking to Ariel Helwani on stage, Paul also said: "Mike Tyson, that was a cute slap buddy but tomorrow you’re getting knocked the f*** out. I’m f*****g him up, I’m f*****g him up! He hits like a b***. It’s personal now, it’s personal now!"
Paul, who has won all but one of his professional fights, then issued a final promise to his 58-year-old opponent as he said: "He must die!"
Tyson has spoken out and claimed he lashed out at his opponent because he stepped on his foot - which is backed up by footage of the two men on stage.
Tom Patti, one of Tyson's longtime friends, told USA Today: "Jake stepped on Mike's foot, that prompted the reaction. I was there and Mike just told me. My personal opinion (is) Jake shows enough disrespect that he starts crawling up to Mike and then pouncing in front of him… like some sort of lurching animal. Mike put him in his place."
Tyson added: "I was in my socks and he had on shoes, he stepped on my toe because he is a f***ing a***hole. I was in a lot of pain. I had to reciprocate."
