Jamie Oliver didn't appear to be too happy after Ben Shephard stepped in to stop his cooking segment.

The TV chef, 49, had been mid-flow of explaining a healthier alternative to the the humble Pot Noodle when Ben Shephard halted him as he was just getting going.

Ben and his co-star Cat Deeley, could be heard issuing plea's for the School Dinner star to stop as they urged that the weather was due to air. Unimpressed, Jamie hitback sarcastically telling the hosts: "I can tell you the weather, it's very wet out there."

The studio fell about laughing at his cheeky offer as Ben still wanted to cut time and issued warning to the TV star.

On Thursday (26 September) show, Jamie ripped open a Pot Noodle to show viewers what was lurking inside the packaging, this after the quick-eat went viral on Tik Tok recently with folk adding further ingredients to turn it into more of a meal than a snack.

Pouring it out onto the counter, Jamie aired: "There's nothing in here really. They are convenient, I get that and by all means have them but actually you can buy these little nests [he holds up alternative noodles]."

Explaining the difference, he added: "They are two-minutes to rehydrate with boiling water and what we can do is have fun with it."

The TV chef went on: "You can go to the fridge with that concept of leftovers and waste and you can take the humble carrot and use a speed peeler, the cheapest gadget in the kitchen..."

Before he could finish, Ben brutally cut in: "Jamie, Jamie two secs, stay there, we'll keep them waiting over the weather because Jamie is going to show you how you can pimp up your Pot Noodle without having to buy them."

Ben warned: "Because we've got to get to the weather so don't go anywhere..." as Jamie interrupted with a sarcastic smile: "I can tell you the weather, it's very wet out there and the sun's coming out and it's going to be wet again later but over to you."

Correcting him, the host warned: "It's the local weather they need, not the national weather," as TV star Cat took over with ensuring viewers with how the schedule was going to pan out.

Cat interjected: "The local weather is on it's way and Jamie will be back, he's going to pimp up those noodles no problem at all."

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV1, from 10am.
