Lisandro Martinez is dealing with a hip injury that has left him unable to 'function normally'.
The star withdrew from Argentina's squad for the November internationals on Tuesday. He had down to South America after one of his connecting flights was cancelled.
But upon his arrival, he was assessed by medics having suffered a knock in on Sunday. Martinez played all 90 minutes against the Foxes in the final game before .
But Amorim now looks set to be left sweating on the 26-year-old's fitness ahead of his first game in charge, which comes against Ipswich on 24 November. Martinez is now on his way back to Manchester after his diagnosis.

According to , Martinez underwent scans on a hip problem once he arrived in Argentina. Team medics opted not to risk the defender for the World Cup qualifiers against Paraguay and Peru.
Though he managed to play all 90 minutes against , the scans have realed a bigger problem. Martinez complained of 'discomfort' and has been unable to ‘function normally’ since picking up the injury.
It is though Martinez sustained the injury when he was caught in the hip by a knee. Argentina boss Lionel Scaloni has called up Lens defender Facundo Medina to replace Martinez for his side's upcoming games.

The Argentine Association said in a statement: "Facundo Medina from RC Lens is added to the squad to replace Lisandro Martínez, who will be removed from the roster."
The latest update on Martinez's injury comes after Martinez, along with Aston Villa keeper Emiliano Martínez, Hotspur defender Cristian Romero, midfielder Enzo Fernández and Leicester City’s Facundo Buonanotte had their journey to Argentina disrupted.
According to Pagina 12, the five boarded a flight that was meant to take them to their homeland. The flight had a scheduled stopover in Rio de Janeiro, but upon its arrival in Brazil the final leg onto Argentina was cancelled.
As a result, the five were left stranded in a Rio airport. The Argentine FA eventually sent a private jet to rescue the five players and they confirmed on Wednesday that Scaloni and his staff were stepping up preparations.
A statement read: "The Argentine National Team worked this afternoon with the objective set on the next match. The team led by Lionel Scaloni began work in the gymnasium set up next to field one and then went out onto the field to carry out, in three blocks, speed and coordination movements with the ball.
"In the second half, the coaching staff arranged an 11 vs 0 exercise to clarify tactical aspects and at the end they carried out three rounds of football in a small space."
