Liverpool set to face injury-hit Arsenal in upcoming Premier League showdown at Anfield

Liverpool could be up against an injury-hit side when they meet in the Premier League clash at Anfield on October 27.

Before taking on Arsenal, Liverpool will face in the Premier League this weekend, their first fixture after the international break. Following that, the Reds will head to Germany to play RB Leipzig in their third Champions League match of the season.

So far this season, hasn't had to grapple with many injuries within his squad. were out of action before the international break, with joining them on the injury list for the next few weeks.

Mikel Arteta has been less fortunate, though, as he's dealing with an early injury crisis in North London. Liverpool.com takes a look at Arsenal's current injury list ahead of their Premier League showdown with the Reds on October 27.

Bukayo Saka

Bukayo Saka suffered a muscle injury during England's defeat to Greece in the Nations League last Thursday.

The Arsenal star pulled out of the Three Lions squad due to fitness worries and is doubtful for the Gunners' match against Bournemouth this weekend. However, there's a slight chance he could recover in time to face the Cherries before Liverpool.

Gabriel Martinelli

Gabriel Martinelli got hurt while with the Brazil squad during the international break.

Brazil has confirmed that Martinelli will undergo an MRI scan on a potential calf injury, leaving his return date uncertain.

Martin Odegaard has been out of action with an ankle injury since the September international break.

He is not expected to return until December, ruling him out of the upcoming clash against Liverpool.

Jurrien Timber
