Lorraine announces 'very special guest' to appear on ITV show after baby news

As Lorraine's ITV show drew to a close on Monday morning, she informed people that there's a special guest appearing on her programme this week.

Before handing the reigns over to This Morning's and , the Scottish star informed fans what will be happening on Tuesday morning.

She said: "That's all for today! A very very special guest tomorrow. My wee daughter Rosie and Billie my granddaughter are going to be here!"

Lorraine seemed overjoyed that her first grandchild would be appearing on her show as she was beaming to the camera announcing the news.

Last month, Lorraine revealed she had become a grandmother while speaking to and Ed Balls on .

Calling the newborn "beautiful", Lorraine shared that her daughter and her husband Steve had taken to parenthood extremely well.

At the time, she commented: "It's just, it's brilliant! Everybody said to me you won't believe how much you'll love this little tiny thing and of course you do, but it's amazing to see your own child having a wee baby.

"It's just lovely, it's wonderful. I can't stop smiling!"

Her colleagues were quick to share their congratulations on the new arrival within her family, along with an unexpected video from a royal.

During an episode of her show, Sarah Ferguson wasted no time in welcoming Lorraine to the "Granny club".

In the clip, she said: "Yaay, this is incredible! You are part of the Granny club, well done Lorraine. I'm so proud of you and I'm longing to see you soon and give you a big hug.

"Of course, sending you one little children's book for your lovely lovely new grandchild. Well done indeed.

"I'm so thrilled for you. I wonder if you'll be called GG or Granny? Or Hmm, lovely Lorraine? No, I think Granny. Welcome to the Granny club, lots of love see you soon!"

Lorraine was beside herself as she was giggling at the surprise video of, The Duchess of York, commenting: "She is a hoot and she lives in her own wee and it's quite a good world I think."

During her show, Lorraine revealed that she'll be going by the title of Granny.
