Make Sabrina Carpenter's 'favourite' meal with simple chicken fajitas recipe

From releasing her sixth studio album and supporting Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour to making music videos with Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan and kicking off her Short n' Sweet tour, it's safe to say it's been a busy year for Sabrina Carpenter.

And with so much going on, Sabrina will need to refuel with all her favourite food and drink. Given her recent hit single, 'Espresso', you may assume the singer gets her seemingly endless energy from a shot of caffeine.

But that's not the case, with the 'Taste' singer revealing that she actually prefers a different hot beverage. Speaking to Rolling Stone, she admitted: "My fans know that I have a very terrible obsession with Yerba Mate, an Argentinian Tea. It’s been an addiction for quite some time now."

And when it comes to her go-to meals, Sabrina has previously revealed some of her favourites in various social media posts and interviews over the years.

She previously described mac and cheese as "a staple" in her life, but it's another classic dish that has her heart. According to J-14, Sabrina said in an Instagram Live that her favourite meal was chicken fajitas.

She's even shared her love for the meal on other platforms, writing: "Dadda thank u for teaching me how to make fajitas" on X in a Father's Day post.

So if you'd like to eat like Sabrina Carpenter, here's everything you need to know to whip up your own chicken fajitas. BBC Food's simple recipe serves two people and can be made using an air fryer.

Ingredients

  • Three skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
  • One red pepper, seeds removed, sliced
  • One yellow pepper, seeds removed, sliced
  • One red chilli, seeds removed, sliced
  • One tbsp vegetable oil
  • One tsp garlic granules
  • One tsp ground cumin
  • One tbsp paprika
  • One tsp Cajun seasoning
  • One tsp ground coriander
  • Salt

To serve

  • Four tortilla wraps, warmed
  • 200g guacamole
  • Eight tsp soured cream

Method

  • To start, pre-heat your air fryer to 200C. Then, coat the chicken, peppers and chilli in the oil, spices and salt.
  • Air fry for 15 minutes. Shake the air fryer basket or toss the contents twice during this time.
  • Once cooked, divide the mixture among the wraps, top with guacamole and sour cream and roll up. Cut in half and serve hot.
