The rumour mill is already in full swing regarding the potential dealings that may occur during inaugural transfer window as new head coach.
Amorim, who was announced as Erik ten Hag's successor in the Old Trafford hot seat earlier this month, will officially oversee his first match away at Ipswich Town next Sunday.
The 39-year-old has been given the task of propelling United up the Premier League standings before the New Year. It's still uncertain which players, if any,
However, recent reports suggest that United could face competition from one of their fiercest rivals. Italian media outlet reports that United are interested in acquiring AC Milan forward Christian Pulisic.
The report suggests that the Reds are set to go head-to-head with for the signature of the United States international, with West Ham also allegedly in contention. Pulisic moved to Milan from Chelsea in the summer of 2023, but just 18 months later, he is being tipped to depart the San Siro.
It's also been suggested that, despite Milan's reluctance to let Pulisic go, the Italian club's asking price could exceed $63million. Pulisic, who operates on the right wing for Milan and has netted seven goals with five assists this season, would add to United's wide forward options, which currently include Amad, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, and Marcus Rashford.
Amorim is set to start evaluating his new squad at United this week, as the rest of the team return from international duty. It's still up in the air which areas Amorim and his team will look to bolster when the transfer window swings open in the New Year.
