Man Utd's full list of 10 players who took part in Ruben Amorim's first training session

Manchester United had 10 first-team players present in Ruben Amorim's first training session.

The new Red Devils manager arrived just as his players jetted off for international duty last week. It means the first chance he's had to get on the training pitch has only involved a cluster of the players who he'll have available to him this weekend.

The likes of , Manuel Ugarte and Rasmus Hojlund are all flying back into Manchester and will return in the coming days, but initially Amorim had to make do with just 10 recognisable names as the session was then supplemented by academy players.

That didn't appear to hamper the quality of the work with , who is out of the England picture, on social media. , another man who is not with the Three Lions, was also present alongside compatriot .

Shaw has been injured since the season began but is edging closer to a return and could he a huge plus in Amorim's 3-4-3 system, which he's expected to implemented imminently.

was the fourth Englishman to be put through their paces at Carrington. He would usually be away with England but has been struggling with an injury issue. He was seen having one-on-one chats with Amorim and could be another individual with a big role to play.

Leny Yoro is close to making his competitive debut having suffered an injury setback in pre-season. Tyrell Malacia is another man who has been sidelined for a prolonged period but is also closing in on a return to full fitness.

Brazilian duo Casemiro and Antony were also present at Carrington. Both men were signed in Erik ten Hag's first summer transfer window but are now facing questions over their futures. Antony particularly has struggled to deliver and is tipped to eventually move on.

Amad Diallo was seen laughing with some of his team-mates and the forward has become increasingly influential. He's had several spells out on loan but has begun getting more exposure and continues to push for more involvement. Tom Heaton was the final first-team player present.

Amorim has maintained, ahead of his first match in charge this Sunday at Ipswich, that he will be able to get his ideas across. "You will see an idea. This I can guarantee," he said.

The Red Devils have endured their worst ever start to a season with Amorim needing to improve their fortunes. He's bought with him several of his coaches with the players having to adapt to a whole new regime. Despite an impressive interim period, whereby he won three of his four games, Ruud van Nistelrooy wasn't retained under Amorim and has left the club.
