Marvin Humes has branded his time onas "though" and shared the impact it had on his family.

Ahead of the launch of this year's series, which sees , Barry McGuigan and Tulisa Contostavlos among the stars taking part, Marvin has reflected on his own experience. Revealing why he took part in the show, he said: "It was perfect because any other year, I wouldn't have been able to do it because of radio and JLS commitments. Whereas last year I had six weeks off, which is perfect."

However, he shared the downside as he told "I mean, it took a big toll on the family." In total Marvin was away from his loved ones for five weeks. He also shared how he juggles his work with wife Rochelle to ensure one of them is around for their kids. Marvin admitted it an be "tricky" but they are "doing their best" as parents.
Rochelle has alsoMarvin had confessed it was the longest he and , 35, had been apart since they started dating in 2010. Speaking , the former Saturdays singer revealed she was given special treatment by one of the producers on the show thanks to their young children.
Rochelle said she was contacted by a producer who would advise whether the children would be able to watch their dad on ITV show that evening. “I did get a text from the producer every day in the morning, as a courtesy, giving a little synopsis of what's going to be on that night’s show so I could then decide whether the kids would watch it,” Rochelle explained. “She’d also be like, ‘Everything's fine,’ which was so , another woman telling me my husband's okay!”
The presenter said the time they spent apart while Marvin was in the jungle did wonders for their relationship, but she would never do it again. “It’s a good way to add a bit of, ‘Oh, my God, I actually did really miss you. I do really love you’ back into your relationship!” she admitted.
However, Rochelle ruled out taking part in I’m A Celebrity, as she said “zero contact” from her family was the deal breaker. Marvin lasted long enough in the camp to have an emotional reunion with Rochelle, and he told and that the experience was “life-changing”.
