Mike Tyson told he 'looked like trash' during Jake Paul fight by boxing legend

Terence Crawford slammed performance in his , claiming he "looked like trash".

In his first professional fight in 19 years, the 58-year-old suffered a to Paul. Tyson landed just 18 punches across eight two-minute rounds, while the YouTuber-turned-boxer landed 78.

And the undefeated , who has been an undisputed champion in two weight classes, was critical of the fight. "I love , but they giving him too much credit," Crawford wrote on social media after the event.

"He looked like trash, to train that long and only throw 97 punches the whole fight is crazy. I'm just glad he didn't get hurt out there."

Crawford was not the only boxer to voice his concerns about Tyson getting in the ring to fight a man 31 years younger than him, with former two weight world champion suggesting Paul was carrying his opponent at times.

Ward, who worked as an analyst on the fight for , told KO Artist Sports: "Mike is 58, I don't know how many people feel like I feel but I appreciate Mike getting himself in shape and to go back and forth with a dude who's 27.

"Mike can still take a good shot. Sometimes the people who don't know , maybe they're just here for the excitement, they don't understand, they're taking every word literally, they expect it to be lived out on fight night, but you forget he's 58, you can see Mike's brain was telling him to do stuff but his body wasn't doing it.

"When the legs go, the distance between him and was like five miles, he's trying to close the distance, he did it early, he just can't keep it up." When asked if he felt Tyson was being carried, Ward admitted: "I don't want to say that… it kind of seemed like that at times.

"And to be honest with you, I appreciate that. I wasn't going to be feeling that. What's the worst that's going to happen [if you don't knock Tyson out], you get a few boos? But you still honour and pay homage to an all-time great."
