Miranda Hart's mysterious husband pops up in new video and makes sweet gesture

Send Push

has given a little glimpse of her new husband and his sweet morning gesture after she revealed that during an appearance on The One Show earlier in the week.

The 51-year-old TV comedian was promoting her new book, I Haven't Been Entirely Honest With You, when she revealed her marital status secret on the BBC show, and now she has spoken to her fans directly in a video on in which she gives a little glimpse of her new husband making her breakfast.

Miranda, who is primarily known for her sitcom named after herself, was talking to fans about her debilitating health battle with Lyme Disease, in the hope that it would strike a chord with others in a similar situation and give some comfort and advice from a fellow sufferer.

The TV star also thanked her followers for the messages of support after she revealed her medical diagnosis and, of course, that she is now married. Miranda began by saying: "Hello to you, it's me again. I'm popping up willy nilly. I just wanted to say thank you for all the support, Thank you for the support on publication day and again, to those of you who are fellow chronic illness sufferers, please know that I don't profess to know the answers."

Miranda continued to say that while she is not medically trained, her advice was garnered from the experiences she'd had while battling with illness. She continued: "I'm not a medic. I just share what I learnt for all of us, not just chronic illness suffers, what I researched and learned for holistic health, all the things that reduce the stress in my life. That doesn't mean I'm saying that that cures medical conditions that I know nothing about."

The TV star added: "So I just want to make that really, really clear, that I understand the pain of the misunderstanding, of the getting no answers, of the not having a cure. I just found things, my stories, I found things for me that helped living with the illness. It happened to improve my physiology. It might for some, it may not for others. So yeah, I just want to say that I'm on your side and love you very much."

Miranda then joked that she had revealed and exclusive as her husband kindly cooked breakfast: "And that's my husband making me a scrambled egg. Showbiz exclusive!"

Speaking on Radio 4 previously, Miranda opened up about her illness, saying: "Unless you’ve had fatigue [like that], you don’t understand what literally not getting off the floor is. I was basically bed-bound - and housebound. There’d be times where I'd look at a glass of water, and think ‘I don’t know how to pick that up'. All anyone wants is to be heard, accepted, loved and seen… and when you’re not - particularly in a medical situation - it’s the worst."

She then added more detail about her recent nuptials, saying: "Getting married in mid-life is a full injection of joy and fun. It’s the best! He's my best friend, we have the best fun... The fact that I could meet somebody - it's not a rom-com story, but it’s hope, and that's why I think, whatever situation you're in, there's always hope that things really do change."
