Cleaning the oven is one of the most challenging tasks in the kitchen, and let's face it, many of us just shut the door and ignore the issue until we absolutely have to deal with it.
But if you're fed up with for hours, a woman has revealed the perfect trick that uses just two items to remove the dirt and grime - and it won't empty your wallet either.
The Gloucester mum shared a video online demonstrating her cleaning hack, which involved placing slices of fresh lemon into a metal bowl filled with water. She then placed the bowl in the oven and heated it so that the lemon and water mixture warmed up and started to steam, helping to loosen some of the grease from the inside of the oven.

After removing the bowl, the woman, who posts on as and shares her content on her account, soaked a cloth in the remaining hot lemon and water mixture and used it to wipe down the oven, showing that the dirt and grease came off without the need for harsh products or intense scrubbing.
A single loose lemon from costs 30p, but you can also grab a four-pack of the citrus fruit from the supermarket's Just Essentials range for the same price - making each lemon cost just 12.5p. Opinions are divided over a new cleaning hack, with some commentators hailing it as the "perfect" solution to achieving a spotless oven and microwave. Amidst the online buzz, one person shared: "Perfect! I love doing this with my microwave."
Another enthusiast echoed the sentiment, saying: "I love this one! No nasty chemicals." However, not all were convinced, as a sceptic pointed out: "That oven wasn't even dirty. I'd need a dozen lemons!" Additionally, a fourth critic remarked: "Your oven was clean to begin with; you want to see if it really works? Come to my house and use my oven."
Others criticised those who said the hack only worked on already clean ovens, arguing for more regular maintenance, with one user asserting: "Why are some of y'all waiting for an oven to get extremely dirty before cleaning? Some of us are able to maintain weekly cleaning."
And another added: "Why does everyone in the comments apparently have the dirtiest ovens? Try it or don't."
