Kimberly Wyatt has revealed the exact moment she found out the reunion had been called off.

The singer and dancer, 42, reunited with her bandmates , and in 2019, sending the music industry into a frenzy. The dolls burst back onto the scene with their hit single React, which they debuted on The where Nicole was serving as a judge.

Following the response from fans, the girls, known for hits including Jai Ho and Buttons had planned a tour across the UK, and Brasil. It would've been the first time the band had performed together since disbanding in February 2010 when Sutta, Melody Thornton, and Roberts announced their departure from the group. During their chart reign, the Dolls sold a whopping 15 million albums across the globe, with 40 million sales of their singles. They also racked up a string of awards, as well as a Grammy nominee for their 2006 smash hit, Stickwitu.

Following their anticipated reunion, a greatest hits tour had been planned for 2020, although this was later pushed back by a year due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, the tour never materialised, with

But Kimberly has opened up in an exclusive interview with the and recalled the shocking moment she found out about the news. "It was so difficult," she said, adding: "You sacrifice so much thinking you're going on a tour, I'd just had a baby, I have three kids, we were ready to go. We had a lot, we knew were going to Brasil and all these countries we might not have had a chance to before, the excitement was real.

"Then for Covid to come round and ruin those things was one thing, it was the thing that kept me sane throughout the whole thing, thinking the dates would be rescheduled like we'd been told. As the time continued, we still weren't hearing any news and I ended up on which was amazing, such a great experience.

"I'll never forget, being on that main stage ice, getting ready for one of our first live shows and getting the news from and fans saying 'It's been cancelled!' – I was in tears, I couldn't believe it, the amount of sacrifices we'd all made to make it happen to have it ripped from our hands was devastating, I still feel devastated." However, Kimberly admits that she found peace in keeping herself going with her projects including DJ'ing and presenting on Hits Radio. "When you've got three kids, you don't have a choice, you don't have time to feel sorry for yourself," she commented.

After the band split, Kimberly threw herself into the electropop duo, Her Majesty & the Wolves alongside Spencer Nezey, which was her chance to stand out and showcase her vocal abilities as the front-woman. During the chart reign of Pussycat Dolls, Kimberly, Ashley, Jessica, Carmit and Melody often performing backing vocals, with Nicole Scherzinger taking lead – with her bandmates rarely credited.

"I was so excited, Pussycat Dolls was a machine," Kimberly explained before continuing: "I wanted to sink my teeth into being a bigger part of the production of the music, writing the songs and singing some more. Spencer is a brilliant producer, being able to work in that way was everything I wanted to do, to continue my work as an artist – I'm really proud of the album we made."

Nowadays though, Kimberly has found herself on both sides of the music industry and has become known for her DJ'ing career, having recently been named as the new presenter of The Hits Radio Throwback show each Sunday at 7pm. Grammy nominee Kimberly gushed: "It's so exciting, it's a brand new chapter. I've been DJ'ing for 10 years now and it feels the natural move into having my own show. It's epic, when I DJ I play a lot of noughties, a lot of throwback and a lot of disco, there's so much nostalgia, I have so many stories to tell as I was in and amongst it as a Pussycat Doll and a young artist."
