Roman Kemp sparks engagement rumours after only dating girlfriend for a 'few months'

is reportedly engaged to his girlfriend Carmen Gaggero, according to hints from his friends.

The One Show host's relationship with the production assistant was revealed last month when they were pictured on a date at Le Petit Maison in Mayfair. But speculation of an engagement was rife when she was spotted wearing a ring on her engagement finger. However, as yet the former Capital Breakfast host has not confirmed the news.

A source told MailOnline: "Roman has popped the question and Carmen said yes. Roman has long wanted to settle down and start a family so it's such an exciting time for them. He's been seeing Carmen for a few months now and feels strongly she is the one. Roman's mum Shirlie is also over the moon and has been telling friends how excited she is for the wedding."

Carmen describes herself as a "TV, Film and Fashion enthusiast" as part of her online biography. It's been reported that she was raised in Brighton and has worked for industry bigwigs Conde Nast and LuckyChap Entertainment. Unlike Roman, Carmen proudly exhibits her relationship with Roman on Instagram. Her most recent post was of Roman's lavish flat.

Carmen was recently stood side by side Roman as he met the and at the Sovereign's Creative Industries Garden Party, back in May. Before finding love with Carmen he was in a three year relationship with Anne-Sophie Flury but they called time on their relationship in 2020.

He was then linked to his radio colleague Codie Jones and model Jette Kerkoff. However he never confirmed reports. Speaking of his love life on Diary Of A CEO podcast, he explained that he is striving to find a love like that of his mum and dad, and Shirlie Kemp.

He said: "Women that have their life plan and are busier, that attracts me more than anything. You look at the girls I've dated in the past, they're girls that are doing their own thing and they're f***ing good at it." He added: "It's one of the reasons, to be totally honest with you, that I don't really date English girls, ever. I love someone not knowing what I do for a living. I love someone not caring at all."

Before going public with Carmen, he said that he is keen to have kids. He told Heat magazine: "I'm terrified of not having kids. That is my biggest thing. I even went to have a sperm check when I was 30. I'm such a family orientated person."
