Manchester United have announced five new additions to the coaching staff of newly appointed manager . Carlos Fernandes, Jorge Vital, Adelio Candido, Emanuel Ferro and Paulo Barreira

However, there's no room for Ruud van Nistelrooy who had a brief stint in charge following Erik ten Hag's departure. The new recruits will work alongside existing coaches Darren Fletcher and Andreas Georgson, as well as assistant goalkeeper coach Craig Mawson.

Fernandes will serve as assistant head coach, while Vital will assist Mawson with the goalkeepers. Candido and Ferro are named first-team coaches, and Barreira joins as the physical performance coach.

  • A statement on the club's official website welcomed the new members to the team. Amorim is gearing up for his first challenge as a Premier League manager, with his debut match against Ipswich Town at Portman Road looming. The Tractor Boys are riding high on confidence after securing their inaugural win of the season against Tottenham just before the international break.

Amorim, who left Sporting Lisbon on a high note with an impeccable record of 11 wins in Liga Portugal and maintaining an unbeaten streak in the Champions League, is tasked with turning around Manchester United's fortunes following a disappointing spell under Erik ten Hag.

In his initial interview in Manchester, Amorim emphasized the collective effort, saying, "The team is the most important thing for me. And if you work as a team, then the talent individually is going to shine."

"But if I have to explain the importance of everything, it is the character, the way we fight, the way we play, and we must have an identity. If our players take the shirt, they will know that it is the Manchester United team."
