Ruben Amorim has told his players his first demand since being appointed as Erik ten Hag's successor.
The 39-year-old head coach told his team: "We have to have fun." Speaking to a small group of United's stars who remained at Carrington during the international break, Amorim also noted he was 'thrilled' to have arrived at Old Trafford.
After being on November 1, Amorim served a notice period with Sporting Lisbon, and even recorded a win over . The ex-Portugal midfielder , joined by members of his coaching staff.
Tuesday saw Amorim meet five players for the first time: , , , Lenny Yoro and Toby Collyer. He also met with academy youngsters who have trained with the first team including Daniel Armer, Amir Ibragimov and Ruben Curley.

Amorim has not immediately been able to take training with United as he but he has undertaken a number of meetings. That has included being welcomed, sporting director Dan Ashworth and technical director Jason Wilcox.
Amorim also met members of coaching staff on Tuesday, with Andreas Georgson and Darren Fletcher remaining following the exits of Ten Hag and Ruud van Nistelrooy. Rene Hake, Jelle ten Rouwelaar and Pieter Morel have all been confirmed as departing the club.

Amorim is ready to take on his new role after taking charge of Sporting for the final time. "I feel ready for the new challenge," he said at the weekend.
"I'm not naive, I know it's going to be very different, very difficult. I'm at peace now. I can focus on my new job and I'm looking forward to starting tomorrow.
"I know it will be difficult to reproduce what I have here anywhere else but there are other places with different exposure and pressure."
