Sharing her recipe on TikTok, @absmeals demonstrated how to prepare the slow cooker Nando's-inspired chicken pasta, so you can enjoy all the yumminess in your meal, along with some hearty carbs.

Slow cookers are a seriously under-appreciated kitchen gadget, as you can chuck all the ingredients in and let it work its magic.

The end result looked mouth-watering, so how do you whip up Abs' faux-takeaway?

First off, you'll need to chop up two large chicken breasts and pop them into the slow cooker, followed by two tablespoons of PERi PERi seasoning, two tablespoons of PERi PERi salt.

You'll also require two tablespoons of paprika, an onion, red and yellow pepper, two tablespoons of garlic paste, two tablespoons of tomato puree, and a whole bottle of PERi PERi sauce of your choice.

She advises opting for medium heat, but for those who like it hot, feel free to turn up the spice. Chuck all your ingredients into the slow cooker and whack it "on [a] high [heat] for three hours".

When the clock ticks down on those three hours, "add 400g pasta and just under a quarter of the double cream container". Next up, chuck in a "chicken stock in 300ml of water", then bang it back on high for another hour [and then] bung your cheese in at the end.

Follow these easy-peasy steps and you've got yourself a homemade feast that might just knock your go-to eatery off the top spot.

In the comment section, one enthusiast chimed in: "I make some crazy pasta dishes all the time but I've never even thought of chucking some Nando's sauce in! Gonna have to try next time I make some. Thanks for the idea."

"Currently cooking this in the slow cooker and it smells banging," praised another.

A different home chef confessed a culinary blunder but vowed to revisit the recipe. She shared: "Made this, used too much cream, pasta was sticky. I'd do this again without pasta and serve with rice and broccoli. Thank you for the inspiration it was delicious."

And for those sans slow cooker, another offered an alternative method: "Another way to make this in a pan. Chicken, Nando's mild rub sachet, onion, peppers, Philadelphia, chicken stock and pasta. It's amazing!"
