Recently, the nutritional therapy practitioner explained to her followers how to master the poached eggs - without any tricks. She said her poached eggs "have been perfection" since she began experimenting with methods adding they are "heavenly yolk porn". Jean said: "I don't love the microwave method because it's not consistent and the texture just isn't the same."

While many people choose to use vinegar Jean says she doesn't think "it makes that much of a difference" and leaves the ingredient out of her recipe. The cook added the best way to get the perfect eggs is knowing how long they need to be in boiling water.

Jean's 'perfect' poached eggs method
  • Heat a pot of water on medium heat
  • Crack an egg on a fine mesh strainer to remove the 'stringy' bits
  • Once the water starts slightly simmer stir a few times
  • Gently drop the egg into the water
  • Set a timer for two minutes
  • After two minutes pick the egg up with a spoon
  • Tap the egg white with your finger to check it is firm and cooked through
  • Put the poached egg onto a kitchen towel to soak up the moisture
  • Slice up some avocado
  • Put the avocado on the bread and place the eggs on top
  • Top with chimichurri
  • Top with salt

Jean added: "This is one of my favourite breakfasts to date. That's pretty much it, I never mess them up this way and you can enjoy it in so many different ways. I hope that was helpful, go enjoy your perfectly poached egg."

Responding to Jean's recipe, one user said: "I made these this morning and they were sooo good." Another added: "Those yolks looks so jammy (my favourite), and I never see jammy poached eggs. This looks amazing."
