Strictly Come Dancing viewers fume 'no way on Earth' after judges' 'criminal' scoring

Send Push

viewers were left calling out the judges on Saturday night after some questionable scoring.

When one couple got given a higher mark than another, who fans believed did better, many fans were left fuming there was "no way" the scoring was right. Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola had impressed with their routine, but they earned a lower score from the judges than Wynne Evans and Katya Jones.

Wynne and Katya had the crowd on their feet with the judges loving their dance, while there was some guidance on improving. Where the technical was concerned, viewers were stunned when Wynne was scored eights and nines by the panel.

While they shared their love for the star, many of them were in agreement that he was overmarked, especially knowing Sarah and Vito had been given less points. Taking to X, viewers called out the judges' decisions, not agreeing with their marks.

One fan said: "That was NOT a 9 from Wynne. Way over scored yet again." Another agreed: "Wtaf??? No way on Earth was Wynne's dance worth a 9. Sarah was miles better and got less. The judges need to go to Specsavers!"

A third fan posted: "Bonkers scoring in effect, they tore Sarah and Vito apart and there’s no way that dance was that far away from either Wynne or Jamie. A fourth said: "So they're giving 8s and 9s for Wynne, yet Sarah (imo) did WAY better and got criminally under marked!! this show is so inconsistent."

A further comment read: "Ok I love Wynne but that was over marked." It comes as Craig's critique of Punam Krishan and Gorka Márquez saw an awkward moment with host Tess Daly.

He told them: "I thought it was really sloppy, messy and full of mistakes. It was not your night I'm afraid." Tess looked a bit confused as the crowd began to share their disapproval of what he'd said to Punam.

Tess commented: "Sorry Craig... I missed what you said at the end there Craig, sorry." As some of the stars looked awkwardly at Tess knowing what was coming, Craig too appeared awkward at having to repeat it.

He said: "Not your night I'm afraid my darling." Realising what had been said, Tess quickly replied: "I rather wish I hadn't heard it... but I think we all loved it ladies and gentleman, didn't we? We really enjoyed it." Viewers watching the moment were left cringing, asking why Tess had the comment repeated.
