This Morning viewers were left fuming during the latest episode as they branded the show "horrible".

and Dermot O'Leary were back presenting the daytime programme on Tuesday, where they introduced a segment on the search for Britain's Ugliest Dog. The national competition is now down to its final four pups, with one soon to be crowned the ugliest in the UK.

Introducing the piece, Demot gave a disclaimer and said: "This isn't our title, I'm a bit uncomfortable with this. Britain's ugliest dog."

But with Dermot admitting to feeling "uncomfortable" with the title, fans at home were rather displeased too. Heading over to X in their droves, annoyed viewers shared their grievances.

One upset fan wrote: "This is a horrible segment! Those poor !"

Another also echoed: "Those dogs are lovely & not ugly - what a strange segment." A third agreed and questioned: "You wouldn't have an ugliest person competition, why's it ok with dogs?"

Holly said: "We tend to forget Peggy isn't your standard looking dog and we are very aware some people would refer to Peggy as ugly. It's always in a humorous way and we don't take offence, and neither does she.

"Even though some people find Peggy's unusual appearance strange, and in rare cases off-putting, and despite Peggy winning the ugliest dog in the UK title, we think she is beautiful both inside and out, and wouldn't change her for the ."
