Thomas Tuchel deals Chelsea another blow after completing swoop on former club

Thomas Tuchel is set to bolster his England coaching staff with the addition of after the goalkeeper coach handed in his notice.

The former Blues boss, 51, was last month, though he did not take charge of last week's Nations League double-header after agreeing to start said role in 2025.

It has already been confirmed that Tuchel's former assistant at Stamford Bridge and , Anthony Barry, will join him . And it now seems as though another familiar face will join him in the form of Hilario.

As first revealed by , Hilario has resigned from his current role at Chelsea following weeks of speculation that he would link up with Tuchel again.

The 49-year-old remained with the Londoners after Tuchel was harshly sacked back in September 2022. He has been with the Blues for over 18 years after first joining them as a player back in 2006.

Hilario's resignation came after Chelsea made it clear they would not sanction him combining his current duties with a role on the England national team.

Hilario and Barry will be joined by another familiar face in the form of James Melbourne, Chelsea's former head of performance analysis who has also left his role with the Blues to link up with Tuchel and the England national team.
