Travis Kelce has already made it clear what he thinks about Taylor Swift attending his games

Travis Kelce has openly expressed his views on Taylor Swift not being able to make it to every game this season.

Swift made a buzz when she attended the opening Kansas City matches, cheering on Kelce and the squad as they secured victories against the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals. But eyebrows were raised when the songstress was a no-show at subsequent games, missing out on seeing the Chiefs triumph over the Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Chargers.

Despite being an iconic pop star, Swift has shown support for Kelce's career by travelling from afar, including a notable trip from Japan to Las Vegas for the Chiefs' Super Bowl LVIII win against the 49ers. The absence of Swift from recent events left fans puzzled given her previous efforts to support her beau.

Kelce is understanding of Swift's busy life and career beyond football. Resurfacing in the social media world this week was a six-year-old snippet where the celebrated Chiefs tight end mentioned to WHOSAY that he doesn't expect his significant other to be present at every game, highlighting a realistic take on their relationship during the athletic season.

"If you're dating a professional athlete, I do not believe, at least for me, that you have to go to all the games," Kelce articulated back in 2016. "I mean, there's eight home games, eight away games, plus playoffs. I don't even expect my parents and my friends to make every single game."

Despite the NFL adding an extra game to the calendar, Kelce understands if sweetheart Swift misses some of his gridiron battles. The pair's relationship dynamic appears unfazed by scheduling conflicts.

Kelce confidently shared with journalists before battling the Chargers: "I think this year's stats may say something different, but at the same time, you'll see that same person inside this building, and that's all I really care about," Continuing, he stressed, "I'm my own worst critic. Acknowledging his past performances yet highlighting the nature of the sport, Kelce professed faith in his quarterback: "I'm fortunate. I've had the success in the past and I realized the ball can't always go to one person. It can't always get in my hands, but at the same time, I got all the trust in [Patrick Mahomes] to make the right decision, and he's been making great decisions."

With the Chiefs sitting pretty at a 3-0 record, he concluded, "We might not be putting up as many points as we want to, but at the same time we're 3-0 and we're doing something right."

Kelce might be on the brink of a breakthrough if the Chiefs' game against the Chargers is anything to go by. The star player swiftly linked up with Mahomes at the start of the match, notching up a 38-yard gain, even though Kansas City failed to capitalise.
