An Edinburgh van driver was slapped with a fixed penalty by cops after being busted for a silly parking mishap.
On September 26, the vehicle was clocked wholly parked on a Frederick Street pedestrian crossing's zig zag area. The vigilant road police dished out three penalty points to the driver while patrolling the locale.
Road Policing Scotland tweeted out: "Edinburgh Road Police spotted this vehicle while on patrol that was parked wholly on the zig zag area of a pedestrian crossing. The driver was issued with a fixed penalty ticket for 3 penalty points."

In a separate incident on the same day, the Edinburgh Road Police halted a motorist in Craigleith during a "routine check" only to find out the driver lacked both a driving licence and insurance, reports Edinburgh Live.
The offending vehicle was promptly confiscated, added police. They declared on Twitter : "Edinburgh Road Police stopped this vehicle in Craigleith, Edinburgh today for a routine check, turns out the driver did not have a licence or any insurance to drive. The vehicle was seized and the driver will be reported to the court."
