What's next after Paralympics? All the para sport events you can watch after 2024 games

It is almost a month since the Paris 2024 Paralympics, which produced some of the year's most inspirational sports stories.

ParalympicsGB had some amazing successes in competition and some new breakout stars, including para powerlifter Lottie McGuinness, pars athlete Funmi Oduwaiye and T63 100 metres bronze winner Didi ‘Ndidikama’ Okoh.

Alice Tai brought home five medals (two gold, one silver and two bronze), while Hannah Cockroft won her ninth Paralympic title in the T34 800m - and Dame Sarah Storey scored her 19th gold medal, extending her record as Britain's most decorated Paralympic athlete.

We also celebrated success in team sports. Our iconic wheelchair rugby team brought home another medal thanks in part to the role of MVP Gregg Warburton. And GB came second on the medal table with 124 (49 gold, 44 silver and 31 bronze).

During the games more than 4.5million people nationwide tuned in to both via livestream and non-livestreams on their YouTube channel. And it continued to grow on social media - Broadcastnow reports that on TikTok, and YouTube, Paralympics content managed to generate 41million views.

It was an amazing Paralympics games - but just because the Paralympics have ended doesn’t mean you have to wait until LA28 to watch and support para sport, so here are the upcoming fixtures that you can watch...

PARA JUDO

Both and the (IBSF) have not yet released any 2025 fixture dates, however they do both still have some 2024 competition dates left to complete. British Judo has an upcoming L3 - London Area Adaptive and Visually Impaired Championships which is being held on the 10 November 2024 at the UEL SportsDock.

The IBSF has two dates planned. The first one is IBSA Judo’s Bahrain Gymnasiade 2024 which is running from the 22 October till the 31 October 2024 and the second competition is the IBSA Judo Grand Prix Astana that is being held for two days on the 23 and 24 November.

WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL

(BWB) have several leagues running the 24/25 season such as Juniors, National, Inspire and Women's Premier Leagues, so there is no lack of games to watch. Check to see who your local club is facing in the near future.

The (IWBF) and have several dates lined up running from 2024 to 2026, the first being the 2024 Men’s South American Championship running from the 29 October to the 3 November, then the 2024 Central American Championships running from the 8 to 16 November. Immediately after is the 2024 Men’s Under 23 World Championship in Thailand starting from the 16 to 23 November. The 2025 Eurocup is a tournament which starts on January 30 and lasts till the 4 May 2025.

image PARA ARCHERY

has said that all their archery competitions are open to competitors of all abilities, however there is one exclusively for disabled archers called the Disability Championships which is being held at the Lilleshall National Sports Centre, Shropshire on the 13 and 14 September 2025.

has not yet released their fixtures, however they do have several continental and international competitions.

BLIND FOOTBALL

There has been no confirmation from the on 2025 fixtures as of yet, however there is still the 2024 USA Blind Soccer International Cup from the 8 to the 11 November 2024 in California.

British Blind wise there has also been no announcements regarding fixtures from however the FA Disability Cup normally runs during the summer months. They also host the Amputee Cup, Partially Sighted Cup, Cerebral Palsy Cup, Powerchair Cup and Deaf Cup.

BOCCIA

Both and / have not released 2025 fixtures yet, however World Boccia does have two more competitions for 2024. The Cali 2024 World Boccia Challenger runs from the 4 to the 15 October and there is the Manama 2024 World Boccia Challenger which is on during the 14-22 November.

PARA CANOE

have not yet released their 2025 fixtures but the International Canoe Federation (ICF) has currently one competition fixture planned - the 2025 ICF Paracanoe World Cup running from the 22 May to the 25 May 2025. The ICF also have the ParaCanoe World Championship lined up for 2026.

PARA CYCLING

(UCI) has the Para-Cycling Road Brazilian Cup from the 29 November to the 1 December, however both the UCI and have not announced their 2025 fixtures.

GOALBALL

Both and have their full 24/25 fixtures, the next upcoming game for the IBSA being Goalball International Open Championships Al Ataa Club which is on October 17. To see the full competitions fixtures find it here on both the and sites.

WHEELCHAIR TENNIS

The (LTA) and the (ITF) have both not announced their 2025 fixtures, however there are still plenty of fixtures from both sporting federations for this year. To see the full competitions fixtures find it on both the and on the .

PARA SHOOTING

At this moment, in time do not have any para shooting fixtures scheduled, however the 2025 fixtures are from , with the Al Ain 2025 WSPS World Cup starting from February 17 next year and lasting for 11 days.

currently have their Sitting Grand Prix, with the next competition being on the 9 November 2024. You can find the rest of the Grand Prix fixtures right over on their website .

As for , they have their planned however they have not announced the dates and locations at time of writing.

PARA TRIATHLON

have posted their paratriathlon fixtures with their next competition being the 2024 World Triathlon Para Cup Alhandra on the 12 October. The rest of their fixtures for the 24/25 season can be found . Elsewhere. have just finished their and are yet to post their fixtures for 2025.

PARA BADMINTON

and Badminton World Federation (BWF) have not yet released their para badminton championship fixtures 2025, however BWF do have several championship fixtures for the rest of 2024, which can be found . BWF’s next competition is the coming up on the 22 to the 27 October.

WHEELCHAIR FENCING

The (IWAS Fencing) have their 24/25 schedule released which can be found . The next competition is the 2024 Fencing World Cup which is being hosted in Italy on the 7 to the 10 November.

are yet to release their 2025 fixtures however they do have two more competitions for 2024. The Wheelchair Epee and Sabre competitions are on the 9th, whilst the Wheelchair Foil is being held on the 10th. PARA TAEKWONDO

currently does not have any fixtures released yet for 2025 and the same goes for . However, British Taekwondo do have one more competition - the on the 3 November 2024.

PARA SWIMMING

currently do not have any para swimming World Series events announced yet, however they do have their scheduled for the 21 to the 27 September 2025.

As for they currently have two domestic competitions lined up. First up is the which will be at the Sandwell Aquatics Centre from the 23 to the 24 November. Then in 2025 we have the held at the London Aquatics Centre on April 15 to 20 next year.

WHEELCHAIR RUGBY

(WWR) have just finished their 2024 season, however they do have their 2025 fixtures rolling out - most of which are on their . Their first 2025 event is the World Wheelchair Rugby European Championship Division A which is being held on the 21-27 April.

(GBWR) have their 2024 and 2025 fixtures on their events page. Their next tournament is the first of the new season: the (Tournament 1) and takes place on the the 19 and 20 October 2024 at the Stoke Mandeville Stadium.

PARA EQUESTRIAN

The (FEI) have for the 24/25 season, with the first UK competition being at Addington Manor on the 28-30 April.

have their 2025 Para Championships and CPEDI fixtures raring to go with the next CPEDIs being the Wellington CPEDI 2 and 3 from October 9 to October 12.

image PARA POWERLIFTING

do not yet have a finalised 2025 fixture list, however they do have three more competitions this year, starting with the Irish Para Powerlifting National Championships on November 16 2024.

Much like World Para Powerlifting, currently do not have finalised fixtures but they do have for this year, both of which are in December. The first British Para Championship is the Welsh Para-Powerlifting Championships & Winter Weightlifting Open which is being hosted at the Haverfordwest High VC School on the 1st.

The final event of the year is the England England Para Powerlifting Championships 2024 which is being held at the Birmingham National Exhibition Centre (NEC) from the 7-8 December.

PARA TABLE TENNIS

Both the (ITTF) and both have not revealed the 2025 fixtures however both organisations do have two competitions each for the remainder of 2024. The ITTF have the ITTF Fa Copa Tango 2024 in Buenos Aires on October 11-13.

The British Para Table Tennis has the Sheffield Para Open Grand Prix at the English Institute of Sport Sheffield on the 19 and 20 October.

WHAT ABOUT WINTER?

Much like its counterpart in the Summer, the Winter Paralympics come right after the Winter Olympics. In two years' time from the 6 to the 15 March 2026 we will be in Italy for the Paralympic Winter Games.
